I love my apartment and I never want to leave.

When I first moved downtown I worried about my winter commute, lugging groceries down the street, and parking in an uncovered lot five blocks away from my building. But I’m happy to report that the good has far outweighed the bad and I’ve fully embraced downtown living and all it entails.

This includes: $5 martinis, leisurely strolls to Hy-Vee for Berry Blast Mike and Ike’s, and spending an entire Saturday on the couch reading and/or taking naps with reruns of the Office playing in the background

Earlier this month, my brother and I put up our TV stand and it’s crazy how full the space feels with that little addition. don’t know how much longer I’ll be in this space (the lease is up at the end of July) but I’m savoring every moment because I’ll already know that I’ll always look back on this time as a bright spot in my memory.
